Many have asked, so here it is! What we did while we were in Fredericksburg, TX! We've both been to Texas Hill Country plenty of times, but let me tell you... it's blown up the last year! So many new wineries, tours, restaurants... it's so fun! It's the perfect getaway with BFF's, family, the spouse, even a couple's trip. With the area being so popular and with Covid restrictions, it is a MUST that you make reservations a few weeks ahead of time and plan your days accordingly. Most of these are all in perfect traveling distance of each other and you can use this as a road map to make sure you make the most of your visit! We have our favorites and are happy to tell you the must sees if you want to make a shortened trip or a longer trip.
We can’t wait to go back, it’s the perfect weekend getaway! THURSDAY: - Woke up early and headed out! It's about a 5 hour drive from where we live.
- Stop in HICO and get a pie on the way down! You won’t regret this! So good!
- 1st stop = Slate Mill Collective
- Slate Mill is one of our FAVORITE places! They're so friendly, wine is delicious, and they're currently in the process of building another winery down the road. We can't wait to go back when it opens! They also have build-your-own charcuterie boards and a spunky little patio outside with hanging lights and great music.
- 2nd stop = Safari
- The back patio at this place is so pretty. You definitely feel like you're in the jungle just waiting for a giraffe to pop out. Their pizza is great too!
- Drove to our condo. We actually stayed in Kerrville so we had a little drive, but it wasn't bad at all and there are a few scenic places to stop and take pictures along the way.

FRIDAY:
- Slept in. Made breakfast at the condo... so many amazing places to stay in Hill Country! Hotels, condos, AirBNBs, you name it. - 1st stop = Signor Vineyards
- This place was adorable from the second you pulled in. The truck at the entrance, the wine barn with a neon sign for photo-ops, the gift shop. I can't wait to go back here! They also had food trucks you could order lunch from out front.

- 2nd stop = Heath Sparkling Wines
- This is the most modern winery out of all of them, and one of the newest. We got the tasting that comes with a sampler of accompanying appetizers and it was delish! Be sure to go for that wine and food pairing for sure! - 3rd stop = Grape Creek - These are sister properties and right next to each other so we just walked over. You could spend over an hour at these places so plan accordingly.

- 4th stop = Barons Creek
- Talk about feeling a million miles away. I honestly felt like we were in Italy. (Even though I've never been to Italy.) The apartment buildings in the back were so pretty. There's a coy pond in the back and covered seating. We definitely could have stayed here longer!
- 5th stop = Alstadt Brewery
- This is such a beautiful place, and a great break from wine to have some beer! The architecture of this building is spectacular! The old wooden staircases inside. The bar. The huge outdoor patio. Guys will LOVE this place.
Hot Tip: Get the pretzel! You won't regret the pretzel!

- Night out = Lukenbach
- You can't be this close to Lukenbach and not go! It's just 13 miles from Fredericksburg and the cutest, most charming tiny town ever. It's the coolest thing going back in time and thinking about all the famous singers that have played here. It's a can't miss for sure!
- We got lucky and they had a live band playing the night we went out. Everyone was wearing masks and the picnic tables in front of the stage were spaced out appropriately. They also serve canned beer, seltzers, and wine.
SATURDAY: - Slept in again. Made breakfast at the condo. - 1st stop = Augusta Vin
- Y'all. I can't with this place. It is ab-so-lutely stunning! I told Erica I want to get married here. It's a gorgeous two-story winery with a huge outdoor sitting space. What's even better, they have a big courtyard with live music overlooking the vineyard. I could have stayed there the entire rest of the day.
